Why Premier Kindergarten?
Our main goal at Premier Academy Kindergarten is to develop active learners who create and think critically through the day to day interaction with adults and other children in play, classroom learning, and exploration.
All parents are welcome for a guided tour through to our purpose built facility that has been carefully planned and resourced to cater to different personalities, talents, cultures, and family backgrounds.
Premier Kindergarten provides a holistic education for children aged 2 ½ to 5 ½ years, with the provision of a wide range of learning experiences through well planned and prepared indoor and outdoor environments.
Our individualized and child-centered approaches to teaching ensure that our children develop a positive self-concept which in turn gives them confidence and allows an open-minded approach to learning, which ultimately will create independent self –driven lifelong learners who will contribute positively to the global community.
Our Curriculum Review
What does learning look like at Premier Kindergarten?
Premier Academy Kindergarten offers an adapted Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. The foundation stage curriculum is organized into six learning areas.
Personal, social, health and emotional development
Involves helping children to develop a positive sense of themselves, and others; to form positive relationships and develop respect for others; develop social skills and learn how to manage their feelings and to have confidence in their own abilities.
Communication and language
Involves giving children opportunities to experience a rich language environment; to develop their confidence and skills in expressing themselves, and to speak and listen in a range of situations.
Knowledge and understanding of the world
Involves guiding children to make sense of their physical world and their community through opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, technology and the environment.
Premier Kindergarten provides opportunities for young children to keep active and interactive; and to develop their co-ordination, control, and movement.
Expressive arts and design
We have well trained and qualified staff who play a great role at creating engaging environments, both indoors and outdoors to enhance learning. Our Kindergarten has adequate resources which are upgraded to keep up with the ever changing curriculum requirements.
Play is an important aspect of child development. Structured and non-structured play is encouraged at the kindergarten. Our children learn through adventure and challenge during playtime. Our classrooms and outside environments provide a variety of spaces, materials, and activities geared to promote active exploration and mastery.
A Typical Day At The Kindergarten
For 2 ½ Year-Olds
For 3 ½ Year-Olds
Our 3 ½-year-olds at this stage have attained quite a number of basic skills and can work at these independently. It is at this stage of learning that adults are bombarded with lots of questions during their day to day interactions with children within this age-group. These children continue to enjoy play and their attention spans are getting longer. Careful planning at this level is given especially to include inquiry-based learning in order to enable them to obtain answers to their numerous questions through exploration and experiments. Independence is encouraged throughout this stage of learning whereby children are encouraged to use their own abilities in solving day to day challenges.
